How it is made

The lightest cotton we stock, and the only cloth here we cannot trace to a village. Bengal's registered names are Shantipuri and Dhaniakhali; this bolt is documented only as Bengal tant, bought through an agent in Kolkata rather than at the loom. We would rather say that than put a village on a label to make it sound better.
