Where it came from
Bagru hand-block
Steeped in harda before a block ever touches it, which is where the buff ground comes from.
Printed by the Chippa families. The cloth is soaked in harda — myrobalan — so the mordant is already in the fibre when the block lands, and the colour sits inside the cotton rather than on it.
